Alex Cassidy is an English sports journalist and rugby player from south-west London. He has written for a variety of sports publications including the Guardian, Gridiron Magazine & Vice Sports.
His first book, American Football's Forgotten Kings: The Rise and fall of the London Monarchs, was a non-fiction exploration into the professional American football team that existed in London in the 1990s, and was published in 2015.
His second book, and first novel, The Cracks of the Puzzle, is an examination of the psyche behind the drinking games, downing and 'debauchery' of the lower tiers of the rugby pyramid, and the effect this can have on life, work and relationships.
